La Gomera

The island was awarded World Biosphere Reserve status in 2011, in the excellent category, thanks to the pristine nature of its marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

When you arrive,  you can already feel the magic of the place as it envelops you. Keep looking and you learn that this energy is real. Travel from landscape to landscape, through palm-filled valleys, deep ravines, black sand beaches with crystal-clear waters, luxuriant ancient forests refreshed with babbling streams.

This is a natural paradise, home to species that have disappeared everywhere else. La Gomera is so valuable that it is a Biosphere Reserve

La Gomera has a network of over 600 kilometres of walking trails where you can lose yourself  in different and varied landscapes. Well marked trails disect the island with the sea always in view.

The excellence of the views - all different at each turn- ensure that on this walking holiday  you are both challenged by the terrain and also by the sights and sounds of the unique landscape

What Others Said...

Just got back home from a wonderful weekend of walking in the Malvern Hills with Mike and 5 fellow walkers.  I have to say what an amazing find you have made in Mike Smart. He is a gentle, caring, exceptionally knowledgable person who loves his job and the Hills he guided us through.  I think I could speak for the group in saying that Mike's guidance  and local knowledge made for an extremely pleasurable experience, and i hope to walk with him and Secret Hills again soon. Thanks, Alan, 'Smart Move":) Kind regards, David
